Wellness Exam
Bringing your pet in for an annual diagnostic and wellness checkup can help reassure you that your dog or cat is healthy or help us detect hidden diseases or conditions early. Early detection can improve the prognosis of many diseases, keep medical costs down, and help your pet live longer. Many dogs and cats are good at hiding signs that something is wrong, so subtle changes in their health or behavior might be easy to overlook. And, depending on the disease, some pets don’t show any symptoms.
Dogs and cats age far quicker than humans, so it is even more crucial for our companion animals to receive regular exams. In addition, the risks of arthritis, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, hormone disorders, and kidney and liver problems all increase with age. Many changes can occur from year to year, especially as your pet gets older. Please see the age chart listed below.

Surgery
Our experienced veterinarians provide a wide range of surgical services ranging from routine to advanced procedures. We use only the safest gas anesthetics available and tailor anesthetic and pain management protocols to each patient’s needs. Our veterinary team takes every precaution, and we ensure that each patient receives the highest quality care. We offer in-house presurgical labwork for all procedures and monitor each patient during and after their surgery.
Laser Therapy
We now offer the latest technology in health care for your pet. This FDA approved, deep-penetrating light allows relief of pain through the release of endorphins and stimulates the injured cells to heal at a faster rate. Disorders that respond to laser therapy include pain relief, would healing, arthritic conditions, intervertebral disc disease, pyotraumatic dermatitis (hot spots), post surgical pain relief, degenerative joint disease (arthritis), lick granulomas, degloving injuries, dermatological conditions, periodontal disease, gingivitis, otitis and more.
On-Site Laboratory
We offer both in-house and off-site laboratory services. We have the ability to analyze your pet’s bloodwork results during your appointment, which can be especially helpful in emergency situations. We can perform routine heartworm testing, thyroid checks, urinalysis, fecal exams, and much more! Our off-site laboratory offers a wide range of services that are beneficial to more complex cases or in non-emergent situations.
Dentistry
Oral hygiene is as important for your pet as it is for you. A dental exam is included with every physical exam. When the time comes that your pet’s teeth need to have a professional cleaning, we are able to do this with ultrasonic scaling followed by polishing. Though we must sometimes extract teeth that have root damage, we are often able to save teeth, with implantation of slow release antibiotics around the infected tooth roots.
Vaccinations
Vaccinations play an important role in keeping your pet healthy. Vaccinations can prevent diseases prevalent in wildlife and those that can be passed to humans. It is important to start your pet’s vaccinations as puppies and kittens, as they have an immune system that is still developing and need to be protected. Both dogs and cats need to be vaccinated, but each patient’s vaccine protocol is discussed with the veterinarian during their wellness check to see which vaccines may be needed based upon your pet’s lifestyle and risk of exposure.
Dermatology
Radiography
We use digital radiography and a board certified radiologist for consultations if needed.
End Of Life Care
Whether because of illness or quality of life, making the decision to put your animal to sleep is one of the hardest you will do. We will be there to help you through this very difficult time. Giving your family member the best care possible throughout his/her life and then allowing them to leave without pain and with dignity is our mission. We understand the decision to euthanize includes great personal courage and sacrifice. We partner with Pet Rest for cremation services so your pet’s ashes may be returned to you in a box, an urn or a special container you may have. This allows you to keep the ashes, bury them or even scatter them in a special place.
